Hyderabad : A 23-year-old woman suffered burn injuries after four men allegedly set her on fire when she resisted their rape attempt in the Chilkalguda area in Hyderabad on Wednesday, the police said.

The accused, called the woman on her mobile phone and asked her to come to a particular place. After she reached the place, they allegedly attempted to rape her.

When she resisted, the four accused allegedly poured kerosene on her and set her ablaze, a police officer said, based on the statement given by the woman.

We have recorded her statement and launched a hunt to nab the accused," the police officer said, adding that further investigations are on. The woman is being treated at a hospital.

After completing graduation, I tried hard for getting a job, but not succeeded. My father also passed away. As the financial problems became worse, I decided to become a naxalite, but later withdrawn my decision. Like Kamal haasan in Bharateeyudu movie, I even wanted to clean the corrupted Political system", he said.

"I am not intended to spend a luxurious life with this robbery, but wanted to disclose the corruption in the country and the lapses in the security" , he added.

On Saturday morning (late hours on Friday night) in Tanishq Jewellers at Panjagutta in Hyderabad, there was a theft that has taken place. The shoplifters have robbed almost 10kg gold ornaments. According to the sources, the robbers dig a hole from the back side of the shop and entered into the shop to steal the ornaments.
