Pradeep made his short film "Advaitam" to depict his first creative love on the screen .It had a theme emphasizing the non duality (oneness) among human beings highlighting the eternal friendship between two men, one hailing from a Brahmin/upper community and the other from a lower caste respectively. The sensible depiction of the issue won him a National award in the best short movie category in his very first effort, making his name noted from Pradeep Reddy to Pradeep Advaitam forever which he later chose as his screen name.
