Movie Review: Bharat Ane Nenu - Convincingly Promising CM
Bharat Ane Nenu is this year's prestigious and one of the movies with high expectations with the combo of koratala Siva and Superstar Mahesh. Superstar Mahesh babu acted as a CM in the movie performing duties and fulfilling dreams of his state. Koratala siva's 2nd combo with Mahesh babu and with the likes of the super hit movie srimanthudu, 'BAN" has raised the bar for the movie.
Plot: 'Bharat Ram' Son of a late CM in Andhra Pradesh state, grows alone from his childhood as his mom dies at an early age and his dad is busy in politics. He leads his life far away from family with his friend in London and comes back after knowing about his father's demise. At the time in a special situation, his father's friend Prakash raj asks 'Bharat' to join politics and swear as CM to save the party. Mahesh reluctantly accepts the offer and swears in as CM of the state. He starts working on various issues faced by the people in the state and takes charge in the very minute of swearing as CM. His own party turns opposite for his policies. Meanwhile Mahesh Babu gets close to Vasumathi (Kaira Advani) which will be exploited by his haters and focus him badly in the media. Mahesh Resigns from the post of CM and leaves for Vasumathi, whose family gets offended by publicity about their love story. In this gap period, Mahesh unwinds the twist of his dad's death and figures out the main culprit who killed his dad. At the end again Bharat swears as CM.
Mahesh Babu's screen appearance was very convincing as CM with his stature and body language. He already proved his class with srimanthudu and BAN can be considered as an extension of his performance. Koratala Siva's screenplay in portraying a hero commercially has always been promising and now once again he proved it. There are were good number of peak scenes in the movie that elevated the story with justification without making the us to feel bored. The story seemed predictable as we saw very similar movie "leader" in the same context and theme. Anyhow, there are many deviations and differences between both and cannot be compared side by side. Mahesh's dynamism in ASSEMBLY SCENE was one of the memorable parts and also the CM FIGHT AND PRESS MEET SCENE has shown the peaks of koratala shiva's writing and mahesh's acting skills. DSP have given once again a rocking BGM, anyhow the songs felt a bit faded out except the main songs 'Vachadayya' and 'Vasumathi', 'Bharat ane nenu'.
Prakash raj as Bharat's uncle played a key role for the movie and gave a rustic look for the film. But i personally felt, Prakash raj's role was predictable and lacked the surprise element for the movie which was needed. Kaira Advani, though she had short span of action scenes, she did very well with her body language and expressions through eyes. The concept of CENTRAL GOVERNANCE which looked realistic and somewhat one can relate with the real lives hoping for better living conditions in villages. The director's script work can be appreciated to show a routine political story in a very fresh and convincing angle on reality grounds. Despite of all these, the story seemed to be short and fell short of one more supporting or strong character other than Prakash raj. Near the climax, few scenes felt very superficial for the story's flow. Songs were not so much enjoyable as we do generally in Mahesh's movies. Action scenes were perfectly choreographed and were very pleasing to the eyes, as the stunts were very entertaining. Although there is no separate comedy track, many of the situational comedy scenes has made everyone laugh.
Verdict: Overall, the movie has entertained all the way till the end, with convincingly promising and handsome CM. Koratala's screenplay and Mahesh screen presence make the movie a must watch. Alos the message-oriented angle of the society is a big element for the movie can drag people to the theatres. Tollywood has seen one more quality movie this year after RC and SuKku's combo.
