Movie Review: Bharat Ane Nenu - Convincingly Promising CM

Bharat Ane Nenu is this year's prestigious and one of the movies with high expectations with the combo of koratala Siva and Superstar Mahesh. Superstar Mahesh babu acted as a CM in the movie performing duties and fulfilling dreams of his state. Koratala siva's 2nd combo with Mahesh babu and with the likes of the super hit movie srimanthudu, 'BAN" has raised the bar for the movie.

Plot: 'Bharat Ram' Son of a late CM in Andhra Pradesh state, grows alone from his childhood as his mom dies at an early age and his dad is busy in politics. He leads his life far away from family with his friend in London and comes back after knowing about his father's demise. At the time in a special situation, his father's friend Prakash raj asks 'Bharat' to join politics and swear as CM to save the party. Mahesh reluctantly accepts the offer and swears in as CM of the state. He starts working on various issues faced by the people in the state and takes charge in the very minute of swearing as CM. His own party turns opposite for his policies. Meanwhile Mahesh Babu gets close to Vasumathi (Kaira Advani) which will be exploited by his haters and focus him badly in the media. Mahesh Resigns from the post of CM and leaves for Vasumathi, whose family gets offended by publicity about their love story. In this gap period, Mahesh unwinds the twist of his dad's death and figures out the main culprit who killed his dad. At the end again Bharat swears as CM.

Mahesh Babu's screen appearance was very convincing as CM with his stature and body language. He already proved his class with srimanthudu and BAN can be considered as an extension of his performance. Koratala Siva's screenplay in portraying a hero commercially has always been promising and now once again he proved it. There are were good number of peak scenes in the movie that elevated the story with justification without making the us to feel bored. The story seemed predictable as we saw very similar movie "leader" in the same context and theme. Anyhow, there are many deviations and differences between both and cannot be compared side by side. Mahesh's dynamism in ASSEMBLY SCENE was one of the memorable parts and also the CM FIGHT AND PRESS MEET SCENE has shown the peaks of koratala shiva's writing and mahesh's acting skills. DSP have given once again a rocking BGM, anyhow the songs felt a bit faded out except the main songs 'Vachadayya' and 'Vasumathi', 'Bharat ane nenu'.

Prakash raj as Bharat's uncle played a key role for the movie and gave a rustic look for the film. But i personally felt, Prakash raj's role was predictable and lacked the surprise element for the movie which was needed. Kaira Advani, though she had short span of action scenes, she did very well with her body language and expressions through eyes. The concept of CENTRAL GOVERNANCE which looked realistic and somewhat one can relate with the real lives hoping for better living conditions in villages. The director's script work can be appreciated to show a routine political story in a very fresh and convincing angle on reality grounds. Despite of all these, the story seemed to be short and fell short of one more supporting or strong character other than Prakash raj. Near the climax, few scenes felt very superficial for the story's flow. Songs were not so much enjoyable as we do generally in Mahesh's movies. Action scenes were perfectly choreographed and were very pleasing to the eyes, as the stunts were very entertaining. Although there is no separate comedy track, many of the situational comedy scenes has made everyone laugh.

Verdict: Overall, the movie has entertained all the way till the end, with convincingly promising and handsome CM. Koratala's screenplay and Mahesh screen presence make the movie a must watch. Alos the message-oriented angle of the society is a big element for the movie can drag people to the theatres. Tollywood has seen one more quality movie this year after RC and SuKku's combo.

Krishnarjuna Yuddham Telugu Movie Review

Movie Review: Krishnarjuna Yuddham - Nani's Hilarious Dual Entertainment
Krishnarjuna Yuddham, after Nani's Jenda Pai kapiraaju, Gentlemen this is the thrid movie with dual roles of the 'Natural star'. The director of Express Raja - Merlapaka Gandhi has portrayed Nani in two different shades in a sort of experiment with a commercial story.

Plot: Krishna - is a typical village guy from Chittoor who works in farms and made about girls in his village. Krishna loves the granddaughter (riya) of the village sarpanch. Both of them fall in love eventually as they progress, but the sarpanch knows about all that and sends her away to Hyderabad. At the same time, Arjun lives in Europe and he is a rockstar and mad about girls. Arjun loves a nature photographer (Subba Lakshmi - Anupama Parameswaran) who visits Europe as a part of her profession. As he is a playboy kind of guy, Subba Lakshmi never loves him and rejects his love after many incidents and she flies to Hyderabad. Both of the heroines get kidnapped by goons for a human trafficking and get vanished, Krishna and Arjun start to search for both of them from then. The whole plot revolves around finding them in 48 hours before they were shipped to Dubai. The story follows many turns that are mostly expected in regular commercial movies, but Nani's action did not stop people getting entertained until the end.
Nani has been the star of the show as he entertained the audience in his dual roles both as Krishna and Arjun. The Chittor slang of Nani has been very rustic and natural. But Arjun's character was a bit off the beat for his kind of performance to be a rockstar. Prabhas sreenu has played a supporting role in the movie, unlike his routine comedy tracks. Brahmaji also has played an entertaining and supporting role in the film. Hero's friends Naveen and mahesh has excelled as usual in their nellore slang and those who follow them on web will get connected easily. Songs by Hiphop Tamizha were good to enjoy and the BGMs were just about the par level. The action sequences with the character of krishna were impressive and there were many elevation scenes in this movie that shown him as a mass hero and it seemed like working for him. Arjun's character was too soft and at times its characterization didn't stand well. His scens as a rockstar did not suit him much and did not keep audience interested. Director Merlakpaka Gandhi's story was of good value and message-oriented, but the screenplay was less convincing and sounded like many of the typical commercial movies.

Verdict: A must watch for Nani's energy and performance along with Nellore kind of slang and the comedy in it (if someone can enjoy it). the main song 'Daari choodu' was a visual feast for Nani's mass look and interesting choreography. There were few Off-beat, and extended scenes and wrong timing of songs, but i never felt like boring throughout the film. Nani's mass build up scenes are highlight for the movies, and do not how many would enjoy looking at the "Natural star" in that way.
A never Boring Nani's Summer Entertainer

Movie Review: Chal Mohan Ranga - Routine Love Drama
Nitin's most prestigious 25th film with the combo of Trivikram and pawan kalyan in the direction of a new director 'Krishna Chaitanya', has finally come out. The story was penned down by 'Trivikram' himself making it an interesting movie to wait for.

Plot: Mohan ranga has a childhood friend whom he has a crush as she helps him once in an incident. Then she leaves to the USA, he from then tries to fly for USA and get out of the middle class lifestyle and earn money. After many struggles he makes to the USA , where he faces job crisis and meets the same girl from his childhood. Anyhow, he does not know about her till the end. Megha helps him in getting money for a job and they become friends thereafter. She gets impressed by him and starts to develop friendship as days pass and finds him interesting. On a fine day, both of them decide to break the ice about their love towards each other but, both of them stop themselves due to various reasons. She then flies to india in some kind of depression about him and agrees for marriage. Meanwhile nihtin misses her badly as she did not inform him before flying to India. After one year he goes back to india to her place (koonoor) to find her and figures out she is getting married. He sees her being happy for marriage and decides to quit from there, but then the whole plot turns here as he get introduced to many characters of her family and a lot of drama happens where her marriage gets post poned. Finally both of them get united in an unusual manner after her marriage gets postponed twice.

Nithin as usual did his best in entertaining, his chemistry with 'Megha akash' was very good and both of them made a good pair. He looked glamourous in most parts of the movie more than the female lead.
Megha Akash looked very fresh and she did justice to her role and her character has a good depth in the movie.

Rao Ramesh has got one more memorable character in the movie, although it looked short he did best in entertainig everyong.

Naresh as the middle class father of a son, has excelled as he usually does in most of his movies.
Thaman's music can be said a plus point for the movie, mostly the BGM part which was very musical.
Locations all were of USA and shot well and it was a visual treat at few scenes.

Srinivas, who did supporting role for nithin has excelled in entertaining in many peak scenes.

Verdict: Overall the movie was a routine melodrama with many predictable scenes and lengthy narrations. The songs were abrupt and less enjoyable as the story was not so strong. Trivikram penned a good story, but it was the screenplay of the new director which went wrong. There are good number of predictable and routine scenes which were not enjoyable. The positive thing is the comedy and its timing which has tickled everyone to loud laugh in the theaters. Scenes between narra srinivas and rao ramesh at climax was ultimate in generating fun. The movie can be watched once if you love a Timepass routine drama movies.

Movie Review: Rangasthalam - Insane Action, Story and Screenplay
Ramcharan and Sukumar's most awaited and much-hyped movie from past few months is finally out. It was a raw attempt by the director to bring back memories of typical villages in Godavari districts and their way of living with the story in it. Sukumar who is well-known for his classy type movies, first time seems to have jumped into the raw massy style of movie making. He never missed out on the intelligence of the lead character despite his defect in hearing.
Plot: Rangasthalam is a village placed somewhere on the banks of river Godavari, with people working hard in agriculture for their daily living. A president of the village (jagapathibabu) is in control of the whole village from 30 years, and he takes advantage of his village people and collects excess money from them for their loans. Chittibabu (ramcharan) and his brother (aadi pinisetti) turn against the president and get nominated for the president post to turn the fate of Rangasthalam. They take Prakash raj's (dakshina murthy) help for presidential polls, But his brother gets killed by an unknown group of people. He kills all the people related to his brother's demise, including Jagapathi Babu. He finds a clue about his brother's death and goes to meet Prakash raj, but he meets with a huge lorry accident, where he goes into coma stage. Ramcharan serves him for 2 years to bring back him from the coma. All the story gets revealed when he comes back from the coma and Ramcharan asks about his brother's death.
Ramcharan has been at his all-time best in the movie, in the role of 'Sound engineer' chittibabu. His Godavari slang, rugged look, and hearing defect have grabbed everyone's attention on the screen. He managed more onto his body language than his expressions, he has lived into the character of a guy with hearing problem. His expressions while killing some goons near the climax part were really amazing. Adi pinisetty, as usually a top notch actor and his character has kept the audience waiting until the end to know who he is. His performance in death scenes was ultimate. Samantha, the one who deserves great recognition for her part in the movie. She has killed everything with her expressions and appearance, like never seen before samantha. She was apt as a typical village girl. Jagapathi babu and his screen appearance as a heartless village president were really great and he once again proved himself. Anasuya as rangamma atta, also at her best in performance as she owned the character and her performance was very appealing.
It will be a huge list to name all the characters, as everyone lived up to their roles and be a part of intense screenplay of the director SUKUMAR. The director must be appreciated for the screenplay oriented towards body language and also the script strength. The way story gets revealed at the end of the movie has been top-notch, as he proved himself at the past. Althouth the movie was dated back in 1980s the focus was more on human feelings and way of living than the surrounding details. There were few unanswered and doubtful logic in the story, whose answers were left to the audience. This movie will be the best movie ever for both Ramcharan and Sukumar. Dsps songs were unforgettable and one should thank him for the song 'Jigel rani' song that brought back the village backdrop two decades ago.
Verdict: The movie was high on story detail with multiple characters which added up one by one got justified at each and every part of the movie. The movie's length was exhausting, although there are no unnecessary scenes, still it felt very heavy all through. The violence scenes in the movie were very well taken but at times sounded too heavy and excessive. The screenplay of the movie is the heart of the movie, but still there is clumsiness of the scene's details.
Overall, an intense action movie and worth watching for Ramcharan's performance and Sukumar's insanely intelligent screenplay.

My rating would be 4/5
